Swiggy Instamart, the on-demand convenience platform, has extended its services to 76 cities across India and is set to launch as a standalone app. While Instamart will be available on Swiggy’s unified platform, users will soon have the flexibility to access it via a dedicated app. Swiggy One, One Lite, and One BLCK benefits will remain applicable on both platforms.
As a flagship offering, Instamart supports Swiggy’s core operations in food delivery, quick commerce, and dining out. The service currently offers an Instamart shortcut on Android PlayStore for quick access. Notably, Swiggy continues to expand its ecosystem with offerings like Swiggy Daily and InsanelyGood, which are also available as standalone apps. Its restaurant reservation service, Dineout, similarly functions independently and within the unified app.
Leadership Insights
Sriharsha Majety, Swiggy’s Managing Director and Group CEO, emphasized Instamart’s growing importance:
“While it’s been clear that Swiggy Instamart is set to match food delivery in size, recent trends suggest it could surpass it in penetration and scale. The service’s positive reception in new markets indicates it has the potential to exceed 100M+ users. Instamart’s integration within the Swiggy app ensures cross-platform synergies, while the standalone app will help us reach more consumers, offering a best-in-class experience.”
Amitesh Jha, CEO of Swiggy Instamart, highlighted the platform’s rapid growth:
“Swiggy Instamart offers unmatched convenience with 10-minute deliveries and an expansive range of nearly 50,000 products. The standalone app enhances accessibility in a category we’ve only begun to explore. Users will continue to enjoy Swiggy One perk on both platforms, ensuring a seamless experience.”
With its dual-platform approach, Instamart aims to cement its position as a leader in quick commerce and achieve unprecedented user adoption.
